I'm excited that Littledata has qualified to be Built for Shopify. This badge is the culmination of our strategy to focus on serving the Shopify ecosystem, which is a community we're proud to be part of.

Built for Shopify recognises apps that follow Shopify's clean design system and feel like a natural extension of the Shopify product. Littledata has always been proud of making it ridiculously easy to connect Shopify data for marketing, and our app rebuild in 2026 has taken that ease of use to a new level.

Why we build for Shopify and nothing else

We see more of the best brands in the world wanting to migrate to Shopify, so we focus on Shopify needs while the alternatives to Littledata move in a different direction.

We're clear that the self-serve experience for brands is paramount, even while other apps position themselves as data infrastructure, or as a complex, sales-led implementation with the higher price point that comes with it.

Why user experience still matters in an age of AI agents

You may ask: why does user experience even matter in a world in which software is navigated by AI agents?

Because we sit in a product category of extreme trust and accuracy, where an ecommerce manager really wants to understand that the settings are exactly so — and not have this summarised in a chat.

We'll be developing interfaces for agents to work with Littledata in due course, not least with Sidekick, Shopify's inbuilt AI chat. But we feel an excellent user experience is the foundation of what we do as a company, and a key part of what makes us different.

UX runs deeper than the install screens

This UX goes a lot deeper than the buttons and text shown during the install.

It's about how users understand Littledata's complex pipeline is working behind the scenes, how they build trust in our product and our company support, and how they feel this app uniquely serves them as a Shopify merchant.
