Your loyalty members are your best customers, but Meta cannot tell them apart from one-off shoppers. Sending a loyalty-specific purchase event lets you build audiences of loyalty members — and find more shoppers like them.
Add Littledata from the Shopify App Store. Server-side tracking starts automatically, and Littledata picks up Rivo data through your Shopify store — there is nothing extra to install.
Add the Meta Ads connection as a destination in your Littledata settings.
Rivo automatically tags customers in Shopify with their VIP tier, in the format Rivo VIP Tier: Gold. Read Shopify tagging for VIP Tiers to enable VIP tier tagging in your Rivo settings.
Open the Events tab for your Meta destination and add a clone customisation to the purchase event. Name the cloned event loyalty_member_purchase. See the Event Editor overview for how customisations work.
Add a trigger condition to the clone so it only fires for loyalty members: choose the customer tags field, the contains operation, and the value Rivo VIP Tier. Save the customisation.
In Meta Events Manager, the loyalty_member_purchase event appears once the first loyalty member buys. Create a custom conversion from it so campaigns can report and optimise against it.
Create a custom audience of people who triggered loyalty_member_purchase, and a lookalike audience to reach similar shoppers. Set the custom conversion as your campaign's performance goal and Meta optimises delivery for purchases from your Rivo loyalty tiers.
